Aw, sorry to hear about your calf. Hope it's starting to feel better! Did you do the usual icing & ibuprofen routine?
A wise decision to stop running; you've obviously gone through these experiences enough times to know that it's best to take the long-range view of your training. Hopefully, you'll be on the mend soon; I'm sure you'll get out there & accomplish those 13 miles very shortly.
BTW, I just wanted to say that I love how you post videocasts on your blog. It's a great way to personalize the experience for your readers. Bravo!
Oh no! I can sympathize with having an injury = NO FUN AT ALL! I hope you're taking it easy. Sending you get well quick thoughts. You'll get those 13 back in no time.
I'm a 40-something runner looking to break a four hour marathon and eventually qualify for Boston. Join me as I train in 2009 for the Walt Disney Marathon in January of 2010. I hope to break 4 hours and 15 minutes there. My PR is 4:26 from Hartford a few years ago.

That video is awesome! Now only did I completely get your scenario, I got to see first hand where your pain is. How tech savvy!
We all have bad days, unfortunately. I had one today. All I can say is... tomorrow will be better!
